Demon Hauntings – A Brief Synopsis

Author: Denise Villani

A demon is considered to be a powerful, supernatural being that is generally malevolent (wishing or appearing to wish evil to others) in character. The word demon comes from the Greek word daimon, which means a divine or semi-divine power that determined a person’s fate. Some believe demons are angels who have fallen from grace or have chosen to take the cross over to the dark side, so to speak.

Demons are evil, supernatural beings of intelligence, wit, and immense power. They have the power to invade our homes, attach themselves to objects, and inflict torture both mentally and emotionally by attacking or even possessing the human body.

Demons are usually portrayed as large, muscular, human-like creatures. They are usually thought to be red, winged, and even surrounded by fire. They can take on any form they want, but mostly commonly it is a half man, half animal form.

In many cases, demons are summoned by someone using a Ouija board, or tinkering with some form to magic, witchcraft,or demon worship that perhaps they shouldn’t be tinkering with. They most likely don’t know what they could be getting themselves into.

Demonic hauntings are commonly represented by a stench similar to rotting flesh or sulfuric acid. The air in the area will feel thick and the temperature will drastically change, typically becoming warmer, although intense coldness is sometimes present. Growling sounds seem to come from everywhere all at once. The sounds of manacing laughter or disembodies voices speaking in foreign tongues, usually Latin, can often be heard. The demon may make verbal threats or throw objects. They like to push, shove, hit, and scratch. They may cause nightmares, consistent bad luck, and overwhelming senses of hate, anger, and evil. A demon’s main goal seems to be to break down a person’s free will so they can possess them.

Demons have the ability to morph into any shape they want. They can change from a human form to an inhuman form before your very eyes. They are neither male nor female, but will change to whatever meets their need at the time. Demons are commonly seen as black masses standing in doorways or in the corner of the room.

Demon hauntings usually start in a subtle way. Faucets dripping, scratches in the walls, thumping sounds. These behaviors are typically the same behaviors displayed by a poltergiest, but more extreme. It’s common for several entities to exist in one location with a strong evil presence seemingly controlling the others and not allowing them to cross over.

It is believed that demons hate humans and think them very lowly and stupid. Demons should never be challenged, unless you want a crash course on how weak you really are. Most demonic entities like a challenge and are incredibly conniving; they may have you believing they are good spirits or may appear to have gone away, only to confront you again at the least expected and most vulnerable moment.

Short of an exorcism, which is usually successful, some believe it may be possible to actually command a demon to leave. Be persistent, show no fear and tell it to get out. They will leave, although not necessarily right away, but keep trying. Also, it’s been said that demons don’t like to be ignored. If it can’t get you to fear it, then the game is over. Like say they, ignore it and it will go away. It’s worth a shot at least.

Something else that might help is smudging. To smudge your house, open the windows and light a bundle of dried sage. Sage is believed to clear away negative energy and spirits. Catch the ashes with a plate held underneath the bundle and walk around your home to cleanse it with the sage smoke. It is also said that sprinkling holy water throughout the house might work too.

Demons have lived for thousands of years and will be here long after we’re gone. Although it’s possible to get a demon to leave a place with the above mentioned methods, but they may not necessarily be destroyed. They may just find a new place to terrorize.

What is Astrology ?

Author: Myastrologyhoroscope

Although Astrology is a common word but it has inherent meaning attached to it. Simply speaking, Astrology is the ancient art and study of the planet movements, the other celestial bodies and the impact they have on our lives. The word Astrology comes from the Greek word Astrologia, which means star study. Various modes of Astrology have been used by man for over 5000 years. In ancient times people of royal status had their own live-in personal Astrologers and history tells us these Astrologers had dual roles of Scholars and Priests. In fact it was considered to be a privilege to study the “Godlike science” of astrology for the priesthood. This was the case in Mesopotamia and Egypt, the oldest of civilizations known to us.

Astrology is the term widely used for calculating the positions of the planets at a specific time. Using your exact birth time and location, an astrologer can erect a natal horoscope chart that no one else has. You took ownership of your natal chart the moment you took your first breath and it is filled with information personal and unique to you. Astrology is used to pinpoint and interpret your unique characteristics, potential and strengths. Astrology is a complex system that encompasses more than what sun sign you were born under.

Each planet has its own unique characteristics and energy that it projects. Each planet has its own rulership over the different zodiac signs and influences your birth chart as well as your progressed chart as your life develops through growth and change. Individually, the zodiac signs are also associated with elements of water, Air, birth & fire.

The oldest astrological document in existence (668-626 B.C.) includes astronomical observations and calculations of solar and lunar eclipses combined with astrological predictions. The oldest surviving Horoscopic charting (birth chart) pertaining to an individual is dated April 29, 410 B.C.E. in Babylon. Documentations reveal that Astrology was practiced for the needs and benefit of daily life. According to the belief of the early civilized races of the East, the stars were the source and the messengers of everything that happened. There is compelling evidence that the Magi (Wise Men) who visited Jesus at birth were Astrologer-Priests from ancient Persia.

The word Horoscope comes from the Greek word Horoscopos, which means hour watcher. Today the word horoscope is used to describe the forecast made based on the chart that has been erected. With the use of Astrology, a horoscope can be erected for a person, a business, a city, or a nation. In fact, a horoscope can be erected for just about anything.

What Happens To A Loved One When They Die A Tragic Death?

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

With all the news lately about violent attacks, including Ann Pressly, the news anchor from Little Rock, Arkansas who was beaten to death and the members of Jennifer Hudson’s family who was killed, people are naturally wondering what happens to a loved one when they die a violent death.

I’ve met several ghosts who died from violent attacks. One of the most memorable people I met was Tim McClean, the man who was beheaded on a Greyhound bus in Canada.

I don’t normally read graphic news pieces, but his story popped up on an internet page I was visiting and I ended up reading a couple of paragraphs of it. If you’re familiar with this story you know why I stopped reading it after only a couple of paragraphs.

The remarkable thing was that I was in my basement office when I read the story. I shut down my computer, turned out the lights and began to climb the stairs. By the time I reached the top of the second flight, there was Tim, with his iPod earphones still in his ears, standing outside my bedroom doorway. I hadn’t yet seen a photo of him, but I knew it was him since I had already connected with his energy from reading the story.

He was still stunned from all the events of his bodily death and seemed genuinely shy. He stood leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets. Although he wasn’t in any pain, he did seem overwhelmed and ready to go home. I couldn’t blame him.

He hadn’t gone home earlier out of shock and disbelief of how his body had died. I think for a while, he didn’t quite realize he was dead.

But now he did and he wanted to go home.

I gladly helped him on his way and he went home easily to the Other Side.

The important thing to remember when a loved one dies from a violent attack, is that once they leave their body, they’re no longer in any pain.

Too often as the ones who stay behind, we stay stuck in the moment of their death or the time they suffered just before their death. They, however, move beyond this moment very quickly.

I met a gentleman several months ago who had committed suicide by shooting himself.

He was the brother of a friend and she was distraught over what he had done. Within minutes of my learning about what had happened, he quickly came to me. His funeral had not yet happened and he was asking me to send him home – which I refused to do.

He was not in any physical pain, but he knew the moment he killed himself that he had done the wrong thing. He was scared and ravaged with guilt and he was afraid of the anger and the judgment of those he had left behind.

He wanted to go home early to escape facing what he thought would be an angry mob. But he couldn’t have been more wrong.

He stood in the corner almost shaking, he was so overwhelmed with fear.

“You have to go be with your family right now….I’m not going to help you until after your funeral. You need to go be with your family and do what you can to comfort them, let them know you’re sorry, that you’re still alive. You need to take responsibility for the pain you’ve caused them,” I told him.

“They’re mad at me,” he said, “they’re furious with me. I don’t want to be around them. I’m just a disappointment to them.”

“Well, you’ve done the worst you could have possibly done. They’re going to be mad at you for a while. You need to go face the music,” I said to him.

“You need to trust me on this, this is the only way you’re going to get through this,” I said unapologetically.

He finally left and timidly went to his family.

I checked in on him now and then over the week and he began to see how he had had other choices in life that he wasn’t aware of at the time. And, just as importantly, he began to feel the love they had for him. They were mad at him, that’s true. But they dearly loved him.

While he lived in his body he regularly felt that he was to blame for so much of others’ suffering, now he could see that really wasn’t the case.

He had begun to learn some very valuable insights even before he crossed over to go Home.

Which, by the way, he did cross over on his own just after his funeral. I don’t think he would have been able to do that if he hadn’t begun to see beyond the blame and the self-judgment.

Those who leave their bodies violently or tragically, move beyond those terrible last moments very quickly, and we need to as well. The suffering for them ended as soon as they left their bodies and their emotional healing began at the same time.
